Although you can’t be in two places at once, this is one time you might like to simultaneously be in Toronto and Bogotá for the art fairs. If money is no object, you could quickly book your flights and visit both venues. But if finances are few, just sit tight and we’ll take you virtually down the aisles to share a selection of our favorites works from the dueling art fairs.

Featuring 95 galleries from 8 countries and 29 cities, the 18th edition of Art Toronto focuses on modern and contemporary in a variety of media. New to the fair, which remains at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre through October 30, are Miami's Mindy Solomon Gallery (showing Jennifer Lefort), Downs & Ross from New York (exhibiting Vikky Alexander) and Night Gallery from Los Angeles (highlighting Awol Erizku) while returning exhibitors include Vancouver’s Monte Clark Gallery (with work by Anthony Goicolea) and Pierre-François Ouellette art contemporain from Montréal and Toronto (showing Dil Hildebrand).

Further south, the 13th edition of ARTBO—the International Art Fair of Bogotá, which runs through October 29 at the Corferias—features 75 galleries from 18 countries offering a diverse selection of artworks. Standouts include New York’s Jorge Riveros at Leon Tovar Gallery, Folkert de Jong at Luis Adelantado from Valencia and Mexico City, Carlos Garaicoa at São Paulo’s Galeria Luisa Strina, Carlos Alfonso at Bogotá's SKETCH, and Rodolpho Parigi at Galeria Nara Roesler from São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and New York.

Sit back, relax and imagine the 30 artworks below enlivening the empty spaces in your busy life.
