LT Projects is pleased to present contemporary artist, Juliana Ríos, with the exhibition Naturaleza Viva. In Villanueva, La Guajira, Ríos has found a natural refuge that becomes the epicenter of her work. Surrounded by rich biodiversity, the artist spends long periods observing and deeply connecting with her enviornment, which allows her to explore color, form, and composition. In this vibrant space, she not only captures her personal vision but also the profound bond that unites her with her land and its people. This intimate and inspiring setting is found in the patio of her home, where the magic of Naturaleza Viva merges with her creative process.

The simplicity of everyday life reveals itself in this place, a microcosm that unfolds before her as a continuous cycle of transformation. A universe that flourishes with strength, folds back in silence, and constantly reinvents itself, inviting deep observation. This ever-changing environemt is an inexhaustible source of inspiration, a well of visual and symbolic richness that Ríos captures with her brush, rediscovering and reconfiguring it with each gaze.

The central works of this exhibition, titled Offerings, are a tribute to the plants that inhabit this territory and possess multifacted value: nutritional, medicinal, and ornamental. The plantain tree, paico, anamú, and sour cane-present in the everyday landscape-are elevated to another dimension through Ríos' monumental painting. In her work, these plants acquire a new interpretation, becoming symbols of the divine, of the transcendental, and achieving a mystical category that connects them with the scared.

The Offerings were recently presented at the Museo Santa Clara in Bogotá, one of the most representative spaces in Colombia's colonial and spiritual heritage, as part of Ríos' solo exhibition titled The Promise. This exhibition has been selected to be presented in October 2025 at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, the Vatican's main academic institution, where it will be part of a program dedicated to art, spirituality, and the Latin American territory.

Through these pieces, the artist pays homage to her ancestors and the land that has shaped her, a universe that has offered her both beauty and challenges. It is a terriorty that has allowed her to imagine, create, and find endless reasons to paint. This space is much more than her physical home; it is a refuge that inspires her, a living soul that nourishes her creativity. It is, ultimately, a place that has given her not only beauty but also countless reasons to transform her experience into art.
